What prompted you to join Southside Wellness Coalition?

I was asked by Kenan. Having recently moved to Clarksville full time, I had been seeking ways to engage and help within the community.

What do you consider to be one of Southside’s biggest challenges?

Marketing – and developing a strategic plan that would convince prospective members to join us.

What do you consider to be one of Southside’s biggest strengths?

A number of dedicated members and strong leadership.

If you are retired, what is your professional background?

I worked for the Navy (as a civilian) in auxiliary ship operations. I retired at the program management level.

If you are not employed outside your home, what other work or activity takes up most of your time?

Church – at the local parish and Diocesan levels.
Food Pantry
Volunteering at the Clarksville Elementary School (currently interrupted by COVID-19.

What is a fun fact about you that not many people know?

I know what “2,5,and 8 are stack men” means.

What is something you’ve always wanted to do?

Get into fly-fishing. I took a few lessons last summer, but would like to do it on a more consistent basis.
