Southside Wellness Coalition Meeting – January 2026
Southside Wellness Coalition held its monthly membership meeting Thursday, Jan. 15, at Southside Behavioral Health’s administration building in Clarksville, VA.
Our guest speakers were:
Danielle Lucas, Infant & Maternal Health Coalition/Tri-County Community Action Agency, who presented “An Introduction to the Infant & Maternal Health Coalition,” where she went over the goals of the IMHC, partners/resources, and future plan which includes the Rural Health Transformation Grant and expanding the Infant & Maternal Health Summit into more counties. The
IMH Summit will be hosted in South Boston at PATHS on April 18.
Kaitlyn Moorefield, Breastfeeding Peer Counselor for Southside District, who presented “The Importance of Breastfeeding” where she covered what the WIC program is, the scope of her job, and how to get resources such as a breast pump, education, and supplements from WIC. She also shared information about her support group.

Our next membership meeting will be Thursday, Feb. 19, at 10 a.m.
