We Stand Together LGBTQIA+ & Allies Summit

Southside Behavioral Health, the Lean In Project, and Danville-Pittsylvania Community Services are proud to introduce the We Stand Together Summit coming to Danville on Oct. 14, 2023.

This first of its kind regional event will feature resources, training, and education for and in support of the LGBTQIA+ community in Southside Virginia. This Summit seeks to further the community awareness of and response to LGBTQIA+ triumphs, disparities, and challenges.

We know that LGBTQIA+ youth who live in a community that is accepting have reported significantly lower rates of attempting suicide than those who do not and we believe Southside could be a community of support.

The We Stand Together Summit seeks to serve as one giant community response to the overwhelming need for education, inclusion, and protection of our beloved LGBTQIA+ identified community members. We Stand Together proudly to support and uplift LGBTQIA+ folx residing in Southside Virginia.
