ACE: Adverse Childhood Experiences
ACE training is a two-hour session that teaches participants about the effects of adverse childhood experiences on brain development and emphasizes the community’s role in promoting resilience in children and teens.

ASIST: Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training
ASIST is a two-day interactive workshop in suicide first aid. ASIST teaches participants to recognize when someone may be at risk of suicide and work with them to create a plan that will support their immediate safety. Although ASIST is widely used by healthcare providers, participants don’t need any formal training to attend the workshop. ASIST can be learned and used by anyone.

Lock and Talk Virginia
Lock and Talk Virginia is a suicide prevention initiative that promotes safe and responsible care of lethal means and limiting access to lethal means for a person in crisis. Promoting these practices and encouraging community conversations around mental wellness is vital to the mission of preventing sucide.

Mental Health First Aid
Mental Health First Aid is a one-day course that teaches participants how to help someone who may be experiencing a mental health or substance use challenge. The training helps you identify, understand and respond to signs of addiction and mental illness.

REVIVE! Opioid and Naloxone Education for Virginia
REVIVE! is a two-hour session that provides training to professionals, stakeholders, and others on how to recognize and respond to an opioid overdose emergency with the administration of naloxone (NarcanⓇ).

safeTALK: Suicide Alertness for Everyone
SafeTALK is a half-day training program that teaches participants to recognize and engage persons who might be having thoughts of suicide and to connect them with community resources trained in suicide intervention. SafeTALK stresses safety while challenging taboos that inhibit open talk about suicide.

Talk Saves Lives
Talk Saves Lives is a one-hour presentation that covers the general scope of suicide, the research on prevention, and what people can do to fight suicide. Attendees will learn the risk and warning signs of suicide, and how together, we can help prevent it.
